Explore hand building techniques to create one-of-a-kind ceramic art pieces. Beginning students will be introduced to the pinch, coil, and slab methods of forming clay, with an emphasis in construction. Instruction includes glazing pieces. Intermediate students will learn more advanced techniques such as burnishing and using press molds, as well as refining current hand building skills. Students of all skill levels are welcome.
Ceramics – Cast Mold
Learn how to cast molds, use ceramic tools, paint, air brush, apply finishing glazes, apply decals,  and embellish with gold. Students have independent choices of molds, decoration and projects.

Home Economics
Learn to Knit & Crochet

Once the basics have been mastered, students will make samples using increases, decreases, yarn overs (lace knitting) and cables. Learn to read patterns, check gauges and select yarns. Supplies needed for first class: #8 or #9 needles and a skein of light colored worsted weight yarn. As the class progresses, teacher will let students know what other supplies are needed. For crocheting bring crochet hook and thread.
