ONLINE COURSE INFORMATION: This online course is designed to teach basic real estate principles for the state of California real estate industry. The California Real Estate Principles course is required by the Department of Real Estate in order to apply for the state examination. It covers every area of professional specialization and reviews all aspects of real property ownership. This course consists of fifteen (15) online quizzes and a 100 question multiple-choice final examination. In order to receive credit for this course, you must score 60% or better on the final examination. (That means answering 60 or more questions correctly). As the quizzes/final exam are computer graded, you will instantly know your results. The online quizzes are for learning purposes only and will not be counted in tabulating the final grade. (The final examination is limited to two hours and thirty minutes.) Upon successful completion of the course, you will be sent a Course Completion Certificate in the mail. If you request or require a copy of your certificate at a later date, there will be an additional charge of $5.00 per additional certificate. The school keeps records of all certificates issued since the program began. COURSE COMPLETION: The maximum time we allow for completion of the course is 1 year from the date of enrollment. Completion of a course includes taking and passing the course final examination. The final examination must be taken and passed no later than the last day of the course enrollment period. However, if you do not pass the final with at least 60% correct (60 correct out of 100 questions), you may re-enroll (see below). Remember, you may not re-take the final exam for at least 2 ½ weeks after you re-enroll.
